Who We Are
Sportsmen's Gun & Reel, also known as SGR, is a member owned clay target club that is open to the public. Founded in 1961, Sportsmen's has been a cornerstone of clay target shooting in NE Ohio for 7 decades. Our membership is roughly 200 strong and we are the proud home of the North Ridgeville Shooting Sports Youth Team.
Our Facilities
Situated on 57 acres near the shores of Lake Erie, SGR is a full service shotgunning club. We have five trap fields, two skeet fields, a patterning board, and a beginner's sporting clays course. The clubhouse is open during our public shooting hours and the coffee is always hot. Come on in and see us!
MEMBERSHIP & PRICING
Membership Types
SGR currently has open membership. There are four membership categories: Regular Membership $200 (under 65 years), Senior Membership $150 (65 and over), Youth $50 (18 and under), and Household Membership $200 (+$50 for each additional shooter).
Membership Benefits
SGR is open to the public, but as a member of Sportsmens Gun and Reel Club, you'll enjoy a variety of benefits, including reduced pricing for all clay target shooting disciplines, reduced shell prices, and off-hours privileges to shoot when we are not open to the public. Pickup a membership application and apply in person at the club during our regular business hours.

SGR has an active competitive shooting scene organized through our partnership with the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA). We host 7 ATA shoots per year and each shoot has the three traditional ATA events (singles, doubles, and handicap). See the flyer in Current Events for details.

League shooting is a great way to meet other local shooters in a slightly less intense atmosphere than a formal compentitive shoot. You do not need to be a club member to participate in the league. Our Fall league is a Sporting Clays league. See flyer in Current Events for details.

YOUTH TEAM
SGR is the home grounds for the North Ridgeville Shooting Sports Youth Team. They are the 2025 Ohio State Champs in the Clay Target League and national runner-up in SCTP. The team has an active roster of 80 high school youth shooters competing in all shotgun disciplines. New members of all experience levels are welcome.
